Corporate Language Training for Employers

Edlingo designs corporate language training programs for US businesses, custom curriculum, group and individual formats, measurable outcomes.

Build a Multilingual Workforce

Language barriers cost US businesses billions annually in lost deals, miscommunication, and employee turnover. For HR directors, L&D managers, and executives tasked with building globally competitive teams, the question is no longer whether to invest in language training, it is how to do it effectively.

Edlingo's employer programs are designed to eliminate those barriers with industry-specific curricula, measurable progress benchmarks, and flexible delivery that fits your team's schedule. Whether you need to prepare a Houston energy team for Francophone Africa, equip Miami healthcare staff with medical Spanish, or onboard Arabic-speaking executives in Washington, D.C., we build the program around your business, not the other way around.

How Our Corporate Programs Work

From first conversation to fluency, every Edlingo program follows a proven four-step process designed to deliver measurable results on your timeline.

1

Needs Analysis

We interview stakeholders, assess current proficiency levels with CEFR-aligned placement tests, and identify the specific business scenarios your employees need to master, whether that is patient intake in Spanish, contract negotiation in French, or safety briefings in Arabic.

2

Curriculum Design

Our curriculum team builds a customized syllabus around your industry terminology, real-world tasks, and target proficiency milestones. Materials are tailored to your sector, not pulled from a generic language app.

3

Instructor-Led Delivery

Qualified native or near-native instructors deliver training on-site at your location, virtually via Zoom or Teams, or in a hybrid format. Sessions are scheduled around your operations, mornings, lunchtimes, evenings, or shift rotations.

4

Reporting & ROI

Monthly dashboards track attendance, proficiency gains, and engagement. Mid-program and final assessments document measurable progress. We help you connect language milestones to business KPIs so you can demonstrate ROI to leadership.

Program Formats

Every organization has different needs. Edlingo offers four training formats that can be combined into a single program.

Group Training

Small-group sessions of 4–12 employees, organized by proficiency level and department. Ideal for building shared vocabulary across a team and encouraging peer practice. Available on-site or virtual.

  • 4–12 participants per cohort
  • Grouped by CEFR level
  • Industry-specific role-play exercises
  • Starting from $1,500/month

Intensive Workshops

Short-duration, high-intensity programs for teams preparing for a specific event, an overseas deployment, a trade show, a product launch in a new market, or an acquisition. Typically 1–4 weeks of daily sessions.

  • 1–4 week accelerated programs
  • Full-day or half-day formats
  • Event or project-specific curriculum
  • Rapid proficiency gains

Virtual Cohorts

Live, instructor-led training delivered via Zoom or Microsoft Teams for distributed teams and remote employees. Same curriculum quality, same reporting, same instructor standards, no geography required.

  • Live sessions, not pre-recorded
  • Works across time zones
  • Same progress tracking as on-site
  • Ideal for remote-first companies

Industries We Serve

Edlingo designs industry-specific language programs that teach the terminology, communication patterns, and cultural fluency your sector demands.

Languages We Train, and Why Companies Buy Each One

Four languages, one contract, one reporting framework. Each has its own hub with program details, cities and pricing.

Corporate English training

For workforces that speak another language at home, non-native professionals who need to present and negotiate, and staff relocated to the US. The most common request from manufacturing, logistics, hospitality and healthcare support.

Corporate Spanish training

For supervisors who direct Spanish-speaking crews, clinical and front-desk staff serving Spanish-speaking patients, and sales or banking teams in Texas, Florida, California, Arizona and the Southeast.

Corporate French training

For operations in Quebec, Francophone Africa and Europe: energy, mining, aerospace, luxury goods, government contractors and executives relocating to Montreal or Paris.

Corporate Arabic training

For Gulf contracts, defense and government work, and teams serving Arabic-speaking communities in the US. The program starts by choosing Modern Standard Arabic or a regional dialect.

Need a language that is not listed, or a mixed program? Tell us what the team has to be able to do and we will say whether we can staff it.

What the First 90 Days Look Like

A corporate language program is a quarter-by-quarter commitment. This is the standard sequence from signature to first review.

Weeks 1 and 2: scope and placement

A scoping call with HR and the department lead sets the goal in CEFR terms. Every participant takes a placement test, 30 minutes written and 10 minutes spoken. Cohorts are formed by level and shift, and the statement of work is signed.

Weeks 3 and 4: build and launch

The instructor receives your real materials (meeting agendas, forms, scripts, safety procedures) and builds the first six weeks of content from them. Each cohort has its first session and a fixed calendar for the quarter.

Weeks 5 to 12: deliver and review

Two sessions a week per cohort, short tasks between sessions, pace adjusted to attendance. The first monthly report lands in week 8. Week 12 brings the mid-point assessment and a review meeting to decide the next stage.

Moving up one full CEFR level takes roughly 80 to 120 guided hours. At two sessions a week, plan on 6 to 9 months per level. We say this before you sign so the budget and the expectations match.

What Procurement Gets From Us

Buying language training through a corporate procurement process should not slow the program down. These are standard, available on request.

Documents

  • W-9 and certificate of insurance
  • Statement of work with scope, cohorts, hours and milestones
  • Per-participant or per-cohort pricing, monthly or full-program billing
  • Instructor qualification summary for the assigned team

Process

  • Placement testing and program design can start while the purchase order is processed
  • One contract and one invoice for several languages or several sites
  • Attendance and progress data delivered as a monthly file your LMS or HRIS can import
  • Learner data handled under a written data-processing agreement when you require one

Why Edlingo vs. Language Apps

Language learning apps have their place, but corporate language training requires a fundamentally different approach.

Edlingo Language Apps
Instruction Live, qualified instructors Self-paced app exercises
Curriculum Custom to your industry Generic, one-size-fits-all
Speaking Practice Real conversation with feedback Limited or AI-generated
Progress Tracking CEFR assessments + HR dashboards Gamified streaks and points
Completion Rate 85%+ with employer programs Under 10% industry average
Business Relevance Day-one applicable skills Tourist-level vocabulary

Apps like Duolingo and Babbel are designed for casual learners building general vocabulary at their own pace. Corporate teams need targeted language skills they can deploy immediately, in client meetings, on job sites, in patient rooms, or during cross-border negotiations. Edlingo bridges the gap between language education and business performance.
